Ready or Not!

Here we go.....tomorrow we will meet our second baby! It's so crazy to me the time has already come. I'm filled with tons of emotions. I'm so excited to have you in my arms, but I'm sad you will no longer be in my belly. I actually enjoy and love being pregnant and it's sad tomorrow it's over. Im so anxious for Kiley to meet you. I know it will be so very sweet but it saddens me that tomorrow ends Kiley being my only baby. I love my Kiley time and it's always been just us and we have a great routine. I know adding the second will make things so much fun, it just makes me sad. And of course I'm filled with anxiety for the delivery and I pray it goes much smoother this time around. I defiantly wasn't 100% on being induced but I have gotten more peace about it. I really wanted to try not to have an epidural and also I like for babies to come on their own. However, I wanted my doctor to deliver the baby more than anything. Lew is not one for surprises and uncertainty so he defiantly preferred the induction. So tomorrow at 7am we will begin our day for your birth.....

BK2- 35 weeks

My, oh my- where has time gone? I haven't blogged in forever and I'm now already at 35 weeks. I feel terrible I haven't blogged about every Dr appt, every kick, every little detail about you but I guess that's part of being a 2nd child. Sorry darling! I promise we love just as much!

At 35 weeks, you are a mover and groover and the size of a large cantaloupe. Kiley would kick here and there, but you literally make large movements with your whole body. Others can constantly see you make my belly move through my clothes. You really move almost all day and late into the evening.

I'm officially at a point now that I am uncomfortable. It's hard to sleep, I have to get up a million times a night to use the potty, my back hurts, etc. Although, you have made mommy gain more weight than Kiley did, you haven't made me swell.

As far as cravings, there really hasn't been much. I do love sweets and could eat a whole cake, box of cookies, anything! Granted I did actually eat a whole box of girl scout cookies in 2 days and didn't realize it until your Daddy pointed it out. Oops! I also could drink a gallon of Dr Pepper a day! Things tend to be much more spicer then when I'm not pregnant. After having Kiley, I wanted jalapeƱos on everything and now I don't want them touching anything because it's too hot for me. The one thing I want toooooo bad and can't wait for is alcohol! I know that sounds terrible but all I want is a large glass of wine, a margarita, cider beer, etc. With Kiley, it never bothered me but with you that's all I want. And in your defense I think I want the whole bottle of wine because of your sister :) She has become a sweet, but handful 21month old.

You have been measuring right on target at every dr appt with a healthy heart beat. I feel so very blessed! Your sister already loves you. Very much and loves to lift up my shift and give you kisses. It melts my heart! We can't wait to meet you!

Kiley can Sign

So apparently my wife has forgotten my maturity level or she was tired and thought I was being nice by taking care of something. We received an email from Kiley's teacher (starts "school" next week) with a few basic questions, I threw together my answers and sent it to my wife, who was at some social club meeting. She glanced over it, and was about to send to the teacher, before she finished it. That nearly bit her in the ass.

Teachers Email:

Parents,

As I am preparing and thinking about your children, there are a few things that would be helpful to know before we start school.

  1. Is your child walking?
  2. Does your child use sign language?

If you would please take a moment to respond back to me I would appreciate it.  I hope to see you all on Friday

-Teacher

My Response:

You want to take this or should I.

Walking: YES
Sign Language: Yes

right index Finger to Open palm = "More"

Right or left hand moving in circular motion on upper chest area = "please"

Hand in a waving motion (usually accompanied with the words all done) = "all done"

Running away when asked to do something or is needed = "Bitch, I do what I want"

Happy 16 months!

Happy 16 months! Oh where has time gone my little love?! You are quickly turning into a toddler, not a baby anymore.

Your favorite thing to do is play "run away." Whenever it's time to get dressed or anything, you start giggling and run the other way. You think it's the best time and so funny (actually its darling expect when we are in a hurry to get out of the house.) Of course Daddy is was more fun playing the game and stops his feet and makes his arm wide chasing you- and of course you love it! You also run away any time you grab something you aren't suppose to, little rascal!

You love all things girly- especially purses and credit cards. Daddy thinks you take after mommy a little too much :) Your current favorite purse is my LV diaper bag and you drag it all around the house. You also love your bows. If you find one you always bring it and ask for more.

You currently have 5 teeth and hopefully more are coming in soon.

You are small for your age and still wear 12 month clothes and wear size 4 diapers. You fit the 3 but it tends to leak so we moved you up.

You gave up your evening bottle at 15 months so now mommy has a deep freeze still filled with breastmilk that now needs to be donated.

You are such a little sleeper and we love it! You sleep from 7:30pm until 8am, take a morning nap from 9-10:30 or 11 and an afternoon nap from 1-3:30 or 4.

You eat like a champ and hardly don't eat something- you even were eating my salad at lunch. And of course you always want "more" food at each meal. Lately, each morning daddy gets you up and gets your breakfast served while you sit on the couch. After you eat your bowl of berries, you eat half of his waffles or whatever he is having, while y'all watch cartoons. Your Daddy loves his time with you :)

You are a social butterfly and love other little kids. We had music today and you hardly sat in mommies lap but rather went around hugging other moms and kids and dancing in the middle of the circle. Sweet girl! you love to "dance" and move up and down, bobbing your head- cracks us up!

You are great at entertaining yourself. You love just exploring the house with your different toys in different rooms and play very happily.

You love Lady! You love to cuddle with her (although she might not always be thrilled with you throwing yourself on her). You love to get her tennis ball and play fetch with her. And she likes to follow you, and you think she is chasing you. You giggle, giggle, and giggle some more :)

Your favorite three sign language words are- more, please and all done. Your lo have a large vocabulary and are learning new words all the time.

It is also amazing how much you truly understand. You are starting to test the waters to see what you can get away with, so needless to say time out has begun. You don't get it very often because you usually obey but sometimes you chose not to listen. Your currently favorite "testing the waters" is when we say no touchy, you will take one finger and barely touch it with a little smirk on your face- little stinker!

Over the last 2 months you truly have grown up so much! You are the light of our lives and we love you more than the world! Thank you Kiley for making our family so much more perfect :)
