My first day at TCU!

Mommy and Daddy started me early and enrolled me in TCU. Today was my very first day of TCU music class! I had so much fun with the other mommies and babies signing songs, dancing and playing with instruments.

A picture after class was done- I had so much fun!

Mommy made sure I had on my TCU outfit for the first day

Rice Cereal!

Tonight we gave Kiley rice cereal for the first time and she loved it!

Yes, per Lews request we had to use a purple bowl and spoon

I'm ready mommy- feed me!

Yummy

Trying to even eat the spoon

Such a mess after! Not sure how much actually made it in her belly.

A little recap: she just loved it! She even cried when we stopped feeding her- such a little piglet. We weren't sure what she would think of it because of what our pediatrician told us. We also made it soupy for the first ounce and made it thicker for the second. It seemed like the first ounce was too watery for her to eat, so making it much thicker really helped. I added bmilk to the rice cereal instead of water and used wheat rice cereal. After eating the rc, she ate 8 ounces of bm. She was so funny eating and kept grabbing the spoon and shoveling it into her mouth!

Smockaholic

So anyone that knows me knows I love to shop! Now that Kiley has come along I love to shop for her even more. Girls clothes are too cute! Well, my biggest guilty pleasure is buying her smocked outfits. I just can't get enough! She has over 50 smocked outfits.... I know it might be a little much for a baby not even 4 months old but I can't help myself. I. Am. A. Smockaholic. Kiley has outfits to go to the zoo, aquarium, yacht club, crawfish boils, birthdays, church, you name it she has an smocked dress to wear. She might or might not already have Halloween, Thanksgiving, 5 Christmas, and 4th of July and Easter (for next year) covered.

Rat Tails

This has been a pet peeve of mine since I could see, and now life has come full circle. Why the hell do parents not cut baby's hair when they are balding in the back and only have a sliver of hair. Quit holding on to "the last little thing that reminds you of when she was o so small," it's a rat tail now, cut it. I knew when my child reached that stage in life I would snip snip that little ponytail, so she would not get made fun of in public. I did not anticipate the mother of my child to be one to "hold on to that part if her." It was a short debate, I will not lie, I on the losing end. But I stand firm in my stance, that shit gatta go. I can see it now: Kelly: "where's Kiley?" Mountain Man: "oh, she's at the neighbor's, you know those folks two trailer's down. Playing with Cledus, the one with the matching rat tail/mullet. Kelly:"who?" Mountain Man: " oh you know Cledus, his dad thats also his uncle and second cousin"

Yeah, rat tails can have that effect. Cut em often and early, if not we have room in our double wide for you.

Our week recap

This summer has been a blast but we have been busy bees. This past week we headed to Corpus for my best friends wedding. Of course we couldn't head South without stopping in San Antonio to spend time with Uncle Jack, Katie and Keegan. We missed Lew as he was in Santa Fe for Parker and Kellys wedding and went fly fishing after in Colorado. We had a full week and it was a blast! And here we go....

Friday- first stop manicures and pedicures with the bride to be!

Rehearsal dinner

The happy couple :)

Saturday- The beautiful bride! I messed something up on my camera so the pictures are blurry- sorry

Sunday after brunch, my mom hosted a Sip n See for Kiley. It was wonderful!

Sweet Katie drove in town to celebrate with us

With MiMi

Blurry :(

She was exhausted after all the attention

Monday- we played at the aquarium

Played in the water for a minute to cool off

Tuesday- we went by to see my Daddy, Buck. It was so terribly sad for her to be visiting his grave rather than playing in his arms. My heart was broken. I know she has an extra special angel always protecting her.

we stayed the night in San Antonio to play with Keegan, Katie and Jack.

By the time we got home she was a tired baby!

Such a fun time!

Our Mountain Man is finally home!

We have missed Daddy! We haven't seen him in over a week and is finally back from his fly fishing trip.
